get a good screen protector is all i can really say. I have a first gen surface rt kicking aorund somewhere

I really want to get a Surface Pro 2, since they’re pretty much a Wacom Cintiq for a fraction of the price.

I’ve really been liking mine so far. Haven’t had time to sketch on it enough, but it seems to run photoshop suuuuper smoothly. I’ve been really impressed with it. (Not so much Win 8.1)
I put a nice matte screen protector on it, which hugely improved the drawing experience.

I’m gonna get a new tablet this year, and this thing is probably going to be in the running.
I’m a little wary of the SP3 though after I had one brick on me right out of the box. With any luck the simpler internals will make failure a little less likely.

Those run full-on Windows 8, right? I’ve got an OG Surface Pro (the 128GB / i5 model) with a keyboard cover that’s been a great laptop replacement. Runs a little hot (as the OG Pros are known to do), but not too bad.
Monoprice sells a breakout box with DVI, HDMI, and DP out ports for under $20 that works really well if you need to connect it up to a TV or projector.
I’ve had no scratches at all on the screen after several years of use, and no screen protector FWIW.

I got lucky on my Pro 2. Got if off of eBay for $250. This was when the Pro 3 just came out. The description had it listed as a 32GB Surface 2 but I wound up with a 64GB Pro 2. I love it. Has a little heft to it but it definitely replaced my old ACER laptop.

I have the 2. Works good enough for the once a month i use it lol
